Any guitarists in here??Amp Advice please??

I have decided to purchase a new amp and am unsure wether to buy a solid state amp or a valve/tube amp,could anyone give me some amp advice.I am not going to be gigging (just bedroom and jamming with other guitarists)but I am still seeking a great tone.Any info Appreciated.

How much money do you have to spend on an amp.

Don't expect to get anything good unless you are ready to spend a few bucks.

If you do not know anything about amps make sure you have a professional repairman available, especially if you go tubes.

Tubes will sound best for guitar period unless you play music that does not require a warm tone.

Again it's all about bucks and how much you want to spend, you can't go wrong with a Fender tube amp.
